Professor Wyatt ShepHerd

Owner/Professor Wyatt Shepherd is a long time martial artist with over 20 years of experience. He is a second degree BJJ Black Belt and Judo Black Belt as well as former professional MMA fighter. Professor Wyatt is still a professional Jiu jitsu competitor and is an American Nationals, AZ State, NAGA, and Grapplers Quest Champion. Wyatt has been coaching everyone (adults, woman, and children), from beginner to professional for over 15 years. He has cornered pro MMA fighters in Brazil, Mexico and all over the U.S. in several different major organizations and has an undying passion for both training and coaching Martial Arts. Professor Wyatt believes that through training martial arts and a healthy lifestyle that one can literally change their life for the better and can find their inner strength and confidence to be all that they can be. Professor Wyatt is excited to bring you the best to Queen Creek, AZ.

professor Tyler Larsen

Owner/Professor Tyler has been training martial arts for the past 15 years as a fighter and coach. He is a First Degree Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Professors Jay Pages and Wyatt Shepherd. Professor Larsen has trained under some of the best instructors in the valley like Carlos Farias, Mike Van Arsdale, John Botello, Mario Francis, Bob Karmel and Daniel Brandt. Tyler teaches Viking Striking,Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts at Ethos. Professor Larsen has competed in Rage in the Cage, All Powers Combat, Gene Lewis Invitational, Fight 2 Win Pro, Grapplers Quest, Grand Canyon State Open, Arizona International Open, Naga, Desert Challenge and Desert Quest. Professor Larsen is very detail oriented and has a true passion for martial arts. His accomplishments:

Professor David HooPes

Owner/Professor David has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for over 10 years.He is a Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Professors Jay Pages and Wyatt Shepherd. He has competed in several tournaments over the years including Naga, Grappler’s Quest, Grand Canyon State Open, DAN Tournament, and AZ Masters. David has a love for the art and has seen lives changed through BJJ whether be through getting in shape, self defense, or just building self confidence.

Professor Angela Shepherd

Professor Angela Shepherd has been training in martial arts for about 15 years. She’s a Black Belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu under Lisa Pages and a Green belt in Judo under What Shepherd. She is an AZ State Champion, Copa Bela Champion, 2x Master Cup Champion, and a 2x NAGA Champion. She loves the sport and the empowerment that she has received through martial arts and self defense. She believes that all women should train and study Brazilian jiu-jitsu for self defense.

Coach Brandon Rodarte

Coach Brandon Rodarte has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2018. He has worked in law enforcement for nearly two decades and is currently a Brown belt. In his youth, Brandon trained Judo under UFC Veteran/Judoka Christophe Leininger. He calls Jiu-Jitsu his positive addiction, which has helped him lose over eighty pounds since beginning his Jiu-Jitsu journey. Brandon is one of the kid’s coaches and believes nothing builds a child’s self-confidence and character like Jiu-Jitsu.
