Official AZ ESA Vendor

Ethos Martial Arts is an approved vendor through the Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account program. Qualifying families can use state education funds to pay for training.

What Is the ESA Program?

The Arizona Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) is a state-funded education program that gives qualifying families direct control over a portion of their child's education funding. Instead of that money going to a traditional public school, it's deposited into a dedicated account that families can spend on approved educational services and activities.

As an official ESA vendor, Ethos Martial Arts is an approved educational provider. That means your ESA funds can be applied directly toward your child's monthly membership - putting world-class martial arts instruction within reach for more Arizona families.

State-Funded Scholarship ESA funds come directly from Arizona's education budget - no loans, no repayment, no strings attached.
Ethos Is Approved We are a registered ESA vendor. Funds can be applied directly to your membership at Ethos.
Managed Through ClassWallet Arizona administers ESA funds through the ClassWallet platform, making payments simple and trackable.

Who Qualifies?

The ESA program is open to a wide range of Arizona students. Eligibility is based on several qualifying categories:

  • Students currently enrolled in an Arizona public school or district
  • Students with a disability or special needs (IEP or 504 plan)
  • Students living on or near a Native American reservation
  • Students in foster care or adopted from foster care
  • Children of active duty military members stationed in Arizona
  • Students enrolled in a failing or underperforming public school
  • Siblings of current or previous ESA recipients

What Funds Cover

ESA funds are flexible and can be applied toward a range of approved educational expenses at Ethos:

  • Monthly membership fees for BJJ, MMA, or striking programs
  • Kids BJJ and Little Gladiators classes
  • Private instruction sessions
  • Competition fees and tournament preparation

Uniform and gear costs are not covered by ESA funds, but Ethos can help point you toward affordable options when you get started.

No. ESA funds can be used to supplement your child's education regardless of whether they're homeschooled, privately schooled, or in a microschool. They do need to be withdrawn from a public school if they were enrolled in one, but their primary education setup is up to your family.
Once you're enrolled and your ESA account is active, we bill directly through ClassWallet - Arizona's ESA payment platform. You won't need to pay out of pocket and then seek reimbursement. Contact us and we'll walk you through the setup.
